Keep It Real, Make It Teal: Food Allergy Friendly Fun for Halloween
Treat Everyone!
One in 13 kids has at least one food allergy. Make everyone feel included in Halloween festivities this year by providing food-free treat options. We recommend stickers as great non-food Halloween handout alternatives – they’re just as sweet, PLUS kids love them! Handing out stickers is unique, fun, and will absolutely thrill trick-or-treaters (and their parents!).
Our favorite stickers of the moment are our Scratch ‘n Sniff Stinky Stickers® with scents of the season like Licorice, Pumpkin Spice, Apple, Root Beer, and Caramel Corn. Fill your handout bucket with a mix of sticker scents, shapes, sparkles, and spots. Dare kids to choose just one! Feel good knowing you’re treating ALL trick or treaters this Halloween. Cross your fingers and hope for leftovers! Seasonal stickers add the perfect fall feel to planner pages, lists, and homework.
Show Us How You Teal
Teal is the color of food allergy awareness. Be a bright spot along the trick or treat block for anyone with food allergies by providing non-food treats and alerting them with the color teal.
Have fun with it! Paint pumpkins teal, glue trimmer stripes on white “ghostly” pumpkins (so cool!), and of course, if you’re short on time, buy a teal pumpkin from your local craft store and add stickers to make it your own.
If you’re really feeling the teal, join us in our teal takeover! Create a doorstep that’s a share-worthy showstopper with borders, signs, and more. Spread the word and encourage neighbors, coworkers, and family members to get in-the-know about food allergies. Host a teal door décor contest at work (super fun for cubicles too!) or use teal for your Trunk or Treat theme. However you decorate, snap a picture and share it with the hashtag #TRENDteal. We can’t wait to see your great ideas!
