Manage classroom noise levels with a visual chart that’s simple to DIY. With just a few modifications, you can transform student name plates and a mini accent into an effective noise level tool that can be pulled together in minutes.

Start by labeling each name plate with the noise levels best suited to your learning space. Punch holes where you want to connect two name plates together and join them with a binder ring. Then, create a marker by attaching a mini accent to a clothespin using double-sided tape or another adhesive of your choice.

Add any additional holes to help with the hanging process. The noise level chart can be hung from a wall, whiteboard, or bulletin board. We chose a magnetic surface and hung the chart from mini pawn magnets.
