Learning FUN Ideas

Enjoy these activity ideas for lots of FUN learning:

1. 100 Days of Learning FUN!  Walk the journey to 100 days of school. The set includes enough stones to skip count by 5s all the way to the 100-day finish line. Start by setting up your path. Write the day number on each stone, starting with 5, then 10, 15, 20, 25, and so on. The lamp posts or dragonflies can be used as important milestones and spots to reflect on what you’ve learned so far and what’s upcoming. At the end of each week, use one of the hedgehogs to walk one stone closer to the finish line and your 100^th day celebration!
   
   
2. Goal Getters! Set up a fundraising display with your Stepping Stones Learning Set. Arrange the stones in a path shape of your choice and use the bench as your finish line. Add your goal donation amount on the bench (# of tickets sold, # of dollars raised, etc.). Then break down your goal by the number of stones you’ve used. Write the individual steps/milestones on each stone, such as $100 on the first stone, then $200, $300, $400, and so on. We recommend pairing the Garden Plant Classic Accents® with this display to recognize each donor. The name of the donor and pledged amount can be added to the accent and then planted along the garden path. Watch how it GROWS over time! Use one of the critters to progress down the path as your funds grow.
   
   
3. Let’s race! Use this Stepping Stones Learning Set to help you create a group-based reward system. Race along the path toward a fun reward at the finish line. You can race individually, in groups, or as a class. Maybe you’re working toward a class movie day, a pizza party, or extra recess. Have fun deciding if you’ll do one big reward at the end, or include smaller rewards throughout the path, like stickers, sitting next to a friend, or listening to music. Use the dragonflies or other critters in this set as pawns on the path.
