Directions
Spread environmental awareness and cheer with paper bee and butterfly crafts!
- Creatively design your display! Decide what your window message will be to coordinate with the balloon bugs you make. "Save the Pollinators" and "Happy Summer/Spring" are great ideas. Tape letters to the window. Don't forget to go outside and double-check your spelling!
- Time to DIY balloon bugs! Put together balloon accents to create a whole cast of summery characters. Use yellow to make a big sun, create colorful flowers, bees, butterflies, and bugs. How many different signs of the season can you make?
- Tape finished bug accents on the inside of the window along with your message. We recommend using a lightly adhesive tape or one that will remove easily without leaving residue on the window.
- Bend back wings and add googly eyes to give your bugs a fun 3-D feel.
Everyone will love buzzing by your window display to see all of the unique and creative decorations. This is a great opportunity to bring cheer to passersby while highlighting some of nature's greatest (and tiniest) helpers.
